    I prioritize sustainability – fostering long-term, balanced habits and practices for your overall health, maintained joyfully and flexibly throughout life.

  • The “Melanie Wales Foundational Five” is a health framework addressing five major pillars— Eating, Hydration, Movement, Stress, and Sleep, the core aspects of health that most often become imbalanced in modern living. I start here with ALL clients who work with me. We'll examine and enhance your relationship with each pillar, making small changes for impactful results.

  • Your entire life— the busy schedule, hobbies, injuries, and more— should inform your personalized movement & activity plan.

    Even if you’re not an athlete, it’s valuable to think like one when emphasizing well-rounded and functional bodies. My approach will have you work towards your goals while also prioritizing your joint mobility, balance, cardiovascular health, and muscle. I remove the guesswork, offering precise guidance for sustainable results.

  • Many often embark on their fitness journey fixated on the notion of loss—wanting to shed weight, be smaller, or fit into a certain size. A loss-centered mindset often translates into restrictive diets, intense cardio sessions aimed solely at burning calories, and a constant reliance on the scale to measure success. People frequently express frustration when progress isn't solely reflected in numbers, leading to discouragement and potential abandonment of their fitness endeavors.

    By ditching the scale as your only metric, you embrace a new paradigm of victories and progress that go beyond mere numbers. In my coaching approach, success isn't confined to what you see on the scale; it's about the tangible gains of strength, elevated energy levels, discipline, confidence, and improved stress management.

About Me

I’m Taha Mandviwala, your friendly neighborhood health and fitness coach! I started Koalaty Movement as a way to share my passion for helping people nurture healthy minds and bodies in the simplest, most sustainable way possible.

I’m also a professional actor of nearly 8 years, and I made my Broadway debut in Life of Pi in 2023!

Outside of work, I love spending my free time:
- Moving (be it parkour, movement flows, strength training, sports, etc.)
- Watching anime
- Reading (I love fantasy, sci-fi, and personal developement)
- Juggling
- Embarking on Dungeons & Dragons adventures
- Playing Magic the Gathering
- Doing nature walks, hikes, or trail runs
- Exploring the world with my wonderful fiancée :)

My Story

I’ve always loved to move. Through and through, I’ve been so fortunate to engage with movement as an integrated part of my life— something I GET to do, rather than something I HAVE to do (even if the latter is also true).

Learning parkour (training the body and mind using obstacles) in 2016 was the first true catalyst that led me to focus on functional fitness as a primary path to my deeper goals— to become stronger, more durable, more athletic, and more playful. I want to preserve and nurture my body’s ability to explore, to play with my nieces & nephews, and to foster a culture of compassionate discipline and self-respect.

As I advanced my education as a personal trainer while also spending nearly a decade as a professional actor, I began connecting the dots of total wellness– noticing and appreciating nuances in day-to-day life, understanding myself and others through an empathetic lens, and connecting with diverse stories and backgrounds.

My experiences have fused into a unique approach to coaching. I aim to recognize and validate your story, and work with you to find lasting solutions beyond physical training alone. Your coaching journey is about empowering habits, overcoming obstacles, and building a strong, flexible approach for enduring health and confident vitality.
